US population is around 312 million; food stamps go to about 41 million and highest user states of food stamps are red states. So blue states are basically paying for food stamps for the red states. The only point that his guest may be correct on is the rise in low-paying jobs which the RW is all for, with "right-to-work" legislation. Stats show that 'Obama Care' is a huge success and not even slightly effecting jobs possibly because of the said rise in part-time employment where businesses can avoid providing any benefits whatsoever. Blue states are also highest producers, highest employment. Yet RW'ers continue the delusion that they know better than everyone else. I see people going into their tax office all up in arms about the penalty they have to pay for not having insurance, not knowing that 'Obama Care is cheaper. It just boggles the mind, so why allow one more mind boggler to spew crap on a show? I think DP did a great job trying to narrow the focus and keep on one topic, but a boondoggle ensued anyway.

You can't just go into "The Welfare Office" and apply for money from the government.

I bet this idiot wakes up in a cold sweat over the idea of someone watching cable TV on his dime.

we baby boomers are retiring in droves. That would certainly up those who no longer look for work, or work at all.

Retirements account for nearly half of the fall in the participation rate, a White House report shows.
