Mike Malloy - The Big Picture w/ Thom Hartmann On Iran

Hughey Newsome, Project 21 / Move-On-Up & Mike Malloy, The Mike Malloy Show & Jennifer Kerns, Washington Times / The Blaze joins Thom Hartmann.

13 years ago Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said that invading Iraq would result in long-lasting peace in the Middle East.

So why is anybody listening to what he has to say about Iran?

…….T o mix up Chavez with the President of Iran, is stunning.

To me it indicates that for her, all those dusky skinned, "foreign others" look alike and are one big ooooh, scary stereotype.

from when I listened to him on his radio show. A few years ago he condemned Obama for mistreating Netanyahu, and he also defended some of Israel's other bad behavior.

Never heard him do anything like this. The RW of Likud is so not something Hartmann would endorse. Not to mention Netanyahu's cheering for an invasion of Iraq. He's always sane about the Palistinians and Israel. Are you sure?

especially for his condemnation of President Obama's snub of Netanyahu after Israel announced new settlements during Biden's visit to Israel.

At about 9:05

"How many wars does the United States have to be in and lose before we understand this is not the way to go."

Well, we have many many political leaders that are giddy about putting boots on the ground to get them damn ISIS folks, who behead and burn people alive with glee. They seem to want another ten years of conflict, so that America loses a few more thousand military volunteers and a few more trillion dollars on top of the SEVEN TRILLION we've already invested to achieve the stunning results we are currently enjoying in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Hey, if our elected leaders are utterly oblivious to very recent history, then lets go get those bastards that did this to us!

America was suffering from extreme mass amnesia for the 2003 invasion of Iraq, which has a lot of parallels with the sad trajectory of our last complete bullshit war of Viet Nam. What did we get from Viet Nam? A nice wall in D.C. and a generation of traumatised, wounded, suffering PTSD veterans we're too cheap to take care of or be compassionate about.

So not only do we completely forget the tragic lessons of the waste and ruin that was Viet Nam, but now we want to re-run another invasion in the Middle East even before we've disengaged from the invasions of 2003?

"All over the earth you can find three things: Hydrogen, Oxygen and stupidity." Frank Zappa

It would be really fucking nice if our better natures evolved a little bit and went beyond doing things the way they were done a thousand years ago. Can't we advance the way humanity conducts itself even just a little bit?

And why didn't we destroy ISIS over ten years ago, when the invasion was still fresh? Probably because they didn't even exist until we invaded. (I cannot recall the term "ISIS"being in common usage more than a year ago?) So when we go exterminate all 30,000 ISIS members, what new group nobody ever heard of before will rise up and take their place? Gee, it's almost like the POWERS THAT BE want deliberate perpetual war? How do the people that "earn" their car elevators, yachts, private jets and multiple coast to coast mansions being merchants of death sleep at night? Easy - they're all greedy corrupt sociopaths.
