TYT: Ambassador's Face Slashed With Knife In South Korea

In Seoul, South Korea Mark Lippert, the U.S. Ambassador to South Korea, was slashed by an attacker multiple times resulting in injuries to his face and left wrist, the State Department has said. The attack by fifty-five year old Kim Ki-jong seems to be politically motivated, as the Korean man was shouting anti-American slurs while being detained immediately following the attack. Lippert was rushed to a hospital in Seoul where he went under surgery for over two hours as surgeons attempted to prevent nerve damage to the Ambassador's face and wrist.

North Korea's media channel, KCNA, released a statement calling the attack 'Just punishment for US warmongers'. Meanwhile Lippert is to remain in hospital over the next few days and is expected to make a full recovery."
