His inimitable singing parter (there was no better duo, ever), who succumbed to a brain tumor on March 16, 1970, at the tender age of 24. Here is one of my favorite songs of theirs (with my favorite line of all time (!!): "I know you can / make a man / out of a soul / that didn't have a goal&quot :

What a great video of this song's performance, indeed, what a great talent we lost in Marvin Gaye. I didn't realize his piano skills but rather knew him as the great singer that he was and that he was one of the initial Funk Brothers of MoTown as a drummer but that didn't last long and he got kicked up to being singer etc. as I understand. But what an awesome performance that you, Faygo Kid, has shared with us. Nice, nice groove, great musicianship (love that bass and rythmn section in general). My wife and I can't thank you enough!
