(24,720 posts)seen more younger adults (ie.. children) getting more involved and if she ever decides to become a school board member I would vote for her in a heart beat---she hit right on the educational head that one test at the end of year does not make sense.
I remember when I was in school we had a test almost every week on the subject we were covering, it was a litmus test for the teacher and when the parents came in for parent teacher night, to find out if the student was not getting the information, and what we have now---is classrooms with 30 to 45 students trying to get an education when the parents and there legislatures are gutting or trying to privatize the schools because of who they put into office, and then go out an whine that there kids aren't making it---duh.
I am glad her parent(s) wanted her to get involved and she wanted to become involved ---good for her, she deserves an big old A+ on her civic test
