TYT: What Would A Rand Paul Presidency Look Like?

Cenk Uygur (http://www.twitter.com/cenkuygur) and John Iadarola (https://twitter.com/jiadarola) host of The Young Turks discusses Rand Paul announcing his plans to run for President of the United States in the 2016 election.

"Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul has officially announced his plans to run as a candidate in the 2016 Presidential elections. He is the second to do so officially with freshman Senator Ted Cruz being the first. Paul announced his intentions to a cheering crowd of supporters, promising to restore freedoms he believes have been lost somewhere along the way. He rounded out his announcement on a think-of-the-children note, asking the crowd 'what kind of America will our grandchildren see?' A schedule of speaking events has been planned in the lead up to the Iowa Caucuses."

Cenk and John discuss (Ayn) Rand Paul's so-called libertarian platform, as he announces his presidential candidacy. They go into budget cuts, government agency eliminations, and spending increases, according to weasel head. Yup, there are flip-flops, and positions which counter historic Libertarian ones. (Ayn Rand would be flipping over in her grave, if she gave a shit about Rand Paul, which she likely doesn't.)

After laying it all out, Cenk brings the argument home.

The only positions left are, as I said, destroying government to help the rich in which case you are not Libertarian. You are just a douchebag conservative, very mainstream Republican. You are just more radical than other mainstream Republicans. And that is just not a very interesting candidate.

I think I got that right, at least close.
