There are some beaches that I stopped swimming in that we're close to sewage treatment plants because of the bits of toilet paper cling to my bathing suit when I left the water.

These beaches and coastline are amazing. This is a catastrophe.
Good for Rachel Maddow and the Santa Barbara Independent for keeping the public informed on this. And Santa Barbara residents for their clean up efforts. What makes me furious is that the company will never repay the City of Santa Barbara for all this free labor, and this sludge is TOXIC.
