Republicans Making Public Education Fail

Our public education system is failing, but that’s because conservative groups want it to fail. There has been a conscious effort to paint public schools as a failure so that they can privatize the education system.

Ring of Fire's Mike Papantonio and Ruth Conniff, editor of The Progressive Magazine, discuss why this scheme isn’t going to work.

Same old argument. The vested interests don't want people who know how to think.

Of course, they want some of the brightest Machiavellian minds to work on how to best subjugate the masses but don't let any smart ones have a voice.

Now - on to a pet peeve:

When someone gives me an option of watching talking heads masticate a whole lot of words vs. having a transcript/outline/excerpt of those great thoughts - I'm going to go for a readable transcript.

The internet is promoting the idea of hyperlinking versus listening/watching a linear droning of video/audio. In my opinion, this is what is killing T.V. and radio.

Maybe I'll take 1-2 minutes of video/audio highlights. But please post how long the session will be in the posting title. If it's a long session, tell me where the parts are that make your point.
