In Detroit on May 17 there was a hearing regarding whether the petition signatures of over 200,000 Michiganders would be allowed to put a question on the ballot in November whether to repeal Michigan's Emergency Manager law.
Herb Sanders is the attorney for Stand Up For Democracy. He made an emotional rebuttal to the Appeals Court asking the court to allow the will of the people of the state of Michigan to be heard by putting the repeal on the ballot.
Michigan Rising has launched a second recall effort against Governor Snyder. Snyder signed the EFM law last year and to date more than 51% of the African Americans in Michigan are under an Emergency Manager or the Detroit Consent Agreement.

(57,081 posts)if I needed a lawyer, Mr Sanders has more passion than I could ever reasonably expect. This man is going far. We need him on a bench and not just before one. I wish him great success.
