Related: About this forumBiden on Trump- "I'm Being Deadly Earnest About This..." Trump has 'a Sick Message'
He goes after everyone in the media who has been ratcheting up the anti-immigrant theme to levels not seen since, in his words, since the days of 'the know-nothing party'. Calling these words and comments 'xenophobic', 'denigrating' and 'sick', Biden appeals to the American public, in so many words, to not let the words of a few represent the majority of Americans who do not feel this way and do not support this rhetoric, or the ideas it represents.

The threat from Trump is very real. You cannot saturate a population in right-wing propaganda for 30 years without consequences.

(1,016 posts)5. But that "sick message" resonates with the GOP base
The rest of the GOP candidates feel the same way but are smart enough to know that most sane people do not believe in it. But they use dog whistles and have underlings preach to them. Trump is just upfront and in your face about it. The base loves it and wants more of it.

I agree with VP Biden. I wonder how Trump will react to what the VP said?
