His shtick is already starting to wear thin and we are seeing the rise of Dr. Ben Carson. He will fade as well once he has been on top for a short time and makes more bizarre statements. This will follow the same pattern as last time where several will have their moment in the sun before settling for either Carly, or an establishment crony like Jeb or Kasich. While there is a difference from last time in that Republican voters are fed up with the establishment as well as many Democrats, partly for the same reasons of corruption and partly because the Republicans have failed at getting rid of Obamacare, nailing Hillary with something, and pretty much everything they have tried, Trump and Carson have no clothes. They have no experience in government, no detailed policies, and no widespread appeal outside of the very narrow Republican base.
Many believe that Bernie cannot make it, but I think he can! He is still unknown to many Americans, but the pattern is set that the more people who hear what he is saying and learn more about his history, the more converts he gets. He is truly unique in national politics in his approach. His message is honest, clear, and makes an incredible amount of sense. Even though the media barely covers him except to say he cannot win, he continues to gain followers. I doubt very seriously there is some terrible secret from his past that will unhorse him, and he is not prone to gaffes, he stays on message. He has the experience necessary and he is an underdog, which most Americans love!
