Who actually won last nights debate? Its difficult to tell because for every poll you see showing Bernie had a massive win, you have a headline on a newspaper or website saying it was Hillary Clintons night. Obvious establishment companies like CNN, NYTimes, and MSNBC were always going to circle the wagons around Hillary... but I'm looking at you Huffpo, Slate, Salon, and yes even the fine folks at PretendProgressiveCorporatistSellouts.com. You're all super progressive until an old guy with some real talk gets some momentum and threatens to actually raise your company's taxes in real life. Cenk Uygur and John Iadarola (Think Tank), hosts of the The Young Turks, break it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.
"Bernie Sanders by all objective measures "won" the debate. Hands down. I dont say this as a personal analysis of the debate; the very idea of "winning" a debate is silly to me. I say this because based on the only relatively objective metric we have, online polls and focus groups, he did win. And its not even close.
Sanders won the CNN focus group, the Fusion focus group, and the Fox News focus group; in the latter, he even converted several Hillary supporters. He won the Slate online poll, CNN/Time online poll, 9News Colorado, The Street online poll, Fox5 poll, the conservative Drudge online poll and the liberal Daily Kos online poll. There wasnt, to this writer's knowledge, a poll he didnt win by at least an 18-point margin. But you wouldnt know this from reading the establishment press. The New York Times, the New Yorker, CNN, Politico, Slate, New York Magazine, and Vox all unanimously say Hillary Clinton cleaned house. What gives?*

(41,868 posts)this disparaging result. Its mind boggling. In reality, the only one who won, and I have to agree with Rachal Maddow in another video, is the Democratic Party won the debate. Issues were discussed, not Donald Trumps Hair.

(3,544 posts)Every poll is a FACT. Corporate Media is an OPINION, apparently ignoring all the facts. I trust facts. So my only conclusion has to be Bernie.
Note: My gut also tells me it's Bernie. 2 for 2. Deduction: Bernie won.
On a personal thought: I thought he hit it out of the park. People are not stupid. Voters know who won, and now know that Corporate Media(CM) is lying again. CM is still pushing the fact to ignore Bernie. It's been that way since day 1. The 1% has spoken, and they don't want coverage of the next president of the United States.
THE PEOPLE WILL PREVAIL!!!!!

(32,723 posts)They claim Bernie's supporters CHEATED on those online polls by voting multiple times.
They KNOW they are in the majority and they are the honest ones who only voted once while those nasty, rotten, crooked, lying, deceitful, smelly Sanders supporters clicked and clicked and clicked and clicked all night to skew the polls.
It's the ONLY thing that makes sense to them.
