(6,917 posts)Louisiana politicians are deservedly the target of criticism. But there are some strange and unique vibes going on there. Sure, New Orleans, but there is more.
A state that has fallen for the Republican phony promises is poised to boot them out of office and elect a Democrat as governor. And now, in a very short time, Louisiana State Police have brought charges against two rogue cops who, apparently, murdered an innocent bystander child while playing cops.
Every now and then we get it right because good people continue to demand it despite the opposition. That's how we roll---on the river.

(60,010 posts)Marksville is the size of my lil town, something like that is a huge deal in our small communities, as well as having national importance.
The trial or trials will be bear watching now.
Would love to see a jury that matches the town demographics.

(3,174 posts)Such an egregious breach.
I would not have been able to help myself if I'd been in the audience, I'd have applauded that arrest statement.
The only thing that really worries me now:
The bad cops know the writing is on the wall for this kind of stupidity. Are the really bad ones going to try to get their "free murder" in before it's too late?
