(12,471 posts)If her being on the board of Monsanto and WallMart, and her huge speaking fees to the banksters, along with her lack of legislative action against these entities is any indication of who she is, she is just another one of them, who will probably get a lobbying job for seven figures, after she is out of the political limelight.
Dr Hobbitstein
(6,568 posts)How that keeps getting repeated on liberal boards is beyond me.
http://www.dailynewsbin.com/news/hey-liberals-stop-falsely-claiming-that-hillary-clinton-was-on-the-monsanto-board-of-directors/22194/
She was the FIRST woman on the WalMart board in the 1980s (before the company was the mega-giant it is today), where she fought for equal pay for women, and was a "thorn in the side" of the Waltons.

(23,156 posts)She's quite liberal in her politics, and I honestly don't understand why she stays with them, except it's probably a lot easier than getting another job. She has complained, at times bitterly, about being paid less than the male attorneys. She also complained about training a new attorney who just happened to be a guy, and then seeing him promoted above her.
So Hillary sure as hell wasn't real effective in getting WalMart to actually pay women equally.
Blue_In_AK
(46,436 posts)I worked on a class action lawsuit against Walmart several year ago for their unequal pay practices. It involved female managers making considerably less than their male counterparts.

(25,250 posts)that's what she did when she went to Wall St. NASDAQ. A lot of good that did.
Bernie knows exactly what he'll do and it will be more than just calling them out. He's been calling them out in this run for the nomination. If elected - he'll take action to reign back Wall St. and put an end to "Too Big To Fail".
RoccoR5955
(12,471 posts)Waved her finger at them at NASDAQ, and told them to stop it. If they all listened to their wicked step mother, like good little children they would have stopped. They probably were sent to bed without any dessert.
Oh, did I mention, that NASDAQ didn't even have a lot of the financial stocks that were involved in the crash?
Sorry.
Yeah, Hillary did a lot to avert the crash when she was Senator. I did more than she did, when I went and protested the NYSE on Wall St.

1. She actually says that she went to NASDAQ and told them to stop. Really? She told them to stop it? Nothing on the record and can you image a reaction to "stop it". Businesses push the regulations to the limit and more. Who is going to "stop it" because she said so without any threat? If she did actually say it, and there is no proof, they would laugh their heads off.
2. Cenk pointed out that NASDAQ isn't the group to be most concerned about. She has had numerous speeches to others like Goldman-Sachs. Did she tell them to "stop it". Of course not, they were paying her personal account hundreds of thousands.
3. It was pointed out that her little out-burst about people don't know her if they think they can influence her with money. LOL. What foolishness. We all know that money in politics is a h u g e problem, because money does influence. That's why it's given.
4. Her "fans" will cheer her no matter what. They don't care what her stands are on issues as. So don't bother trying to change their minds. Her fans won't even give their stands because they want to be flexible to change with her changes.

Excellent clip of the 1%er, proving once again why she should never be president...

(4,695 posts)so she can say and further advanced triangulation. Philosophy of deception with a smile; people of 2008 will return to her and she will deliver to TPTB at the same time.
In 1999, Congressman Rangel told Hillary that she would face no competition in the Democratic New York Senatorial race. Story in the New York Times. IMO, that must be assurance from the The Powers That Be. Bill did deliver to TPTB and to his wife.
