I'm sorry I neglected to post a summary. I was very affected by the video as I realized that I had placed those corded blinds in my son's room, next to his bed, when he was a preschooler and never realized the danger. (I am very thankful that he never played with them.)

I will add a summary now that you have (in a very rude manner) brought the oversight to my attention.

Blinds are now required to have two separate pulls at the end for this reason. Remember not to tie them together.

Nine kids? Yes, the cords on the shades are dangerous but that’s not the real problem…

who chose to remain childless. Ours was a dysfunctional family, and I didn't feel I had adequate role models to be a parent. Plus, I read Rachel Carson's "Silent Spring" when I was very young (before my adolescence). I decided then that if I wanted to be a parent, I could adopt or foster one or more of the thousands of children growing up in "group homes" across the nation.

I am an advocate now for our younglings. And it's for them that I grieve when I contemplate the mess we've made of our climate and our culture.
