Right now is a great time to visit DC. All the crowds are gone, and the buildings, public and private alike, are filling with decorations. Every year I make a pilgrimage to the lobby of the Willard Hotel. It and the Great Hall of the Library of Congress are my two favorites rooms in DC. The Rotunda of the National Gallery of Art will be filled with countless poinsettias.
