Felipe Calderon's presidency in peril

Just a month to go before Mexicans cast their ballots, it would appear that current Mexican President Felipe Calderon's party is likely to lose the run for presidency.

The most recent poll by national newspaper La Reforma places his National Action Party, the PAN, in third place.

Rachel Levin traveled to the heartland of the PAN party, the state of Jalisco, and spoke to die hard supporters who are now rethinking their the vote.

Former PAN partisans are disapointed with Calderon whom they say has not done enough to end the corruption and abuse of power, nor have they worked toward the creation of jobs.

Nearly 10% of Mexico's GDP comes from the state of Jalisco and its wealthy business community is a key voting block for any candidate who wants to win the preisdency.

Al Jazeera's Rachel Levin reports from Guadalajara, Mexico.
