Dear Corporate Media – Stop Pretending Any Of The GOP Candidates Are Sane

The Huffington Post ran a story this morning claiming that John Kasich was the “sane” GOP choice. But don’t be fooled – there isn’t anyone running for president on the Republican side that would qualify as a “sane choice." Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this.

but his policies are no different from the others'. He is also the most electable of the Republicans, as our low information voters will mistake his reasonable demeanor for his beliefs.

Trump's just the loudest one on the stage. Just because Trump gets the most news coverage doesn't make him the worst choice on that stage. I feel like Cruz would be -even worse- than Trump, but any of them would be an utter disaster.

After leaving Congress, Kasich went to work for Fox News, hosting Heartland with John Kasich on the Fox News Channel and guest-hosting The O'Reilly Factor, filling in for Bill O'Reilly as needed.[57] He also occasionally appeared as a guest on Hannity & Colmes.[58]

. . . .

Kasich served on the board of directors for several corporations, including Invacare Corporation and the Chicago-based Norvax Inc. In 2001, Kasich joined Lehman Brothers' investment banking division as a managing director in Columbus, Ohio.[60] He remained at Lehman Brothers until it declared bankruptcy in 2008. Lehman Brothers paid him a $182,692 salary and $432,200 bonus in 2008. He stated that the bonus was for work performed in 2007.[61]

"I wasn't involved in the inner workings of Lehman, I was a banker. I didn't go to board meetings or go and talk investment strategy with the top people. I was nowhere near that. That's like, it's sort of like being a car dealer in Zanesville and being blamed for the collapse of GM."

OK. So why the $432,200 bonus in 2008 if Kasich was such a small fish?

What did he do for Lehman as it failed that was so great?
