Chanin exhibited not one iota of shame, embarrassment, or regret. Individuals like him surround themselves in a bubble of money, privilege, and a wildly exaggerated sense of self-importance. I suspect he is, like a lot of corporate CEOs, a sociopath.

He's apparently not a CEO, but Of Counsel to the law firm of Morrison & Foerster, a long time haven for these types.
Probably a revolving door beneficiary.
