(2,461 posts)Reporting Sanders walking over to picket failing to mention his TWU endorsement - even had the nerve to mention - he has a few unions behind him like CWU AND SOME OTHERS - This is plain rude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(57 posts)I watched Howard Dean lament Bernie's campaign tactics, saying this is the first time he's ever seen his good friend Bernie go negative. Dean has endorsed Hillary Clinton, but told the MSNBC audience that he still has great regard and respect for The Bern. Which begs the question of why Tweety Bird never asked if this is the first Hillary Clinton campaign Dean has seen go negative. Apparently neither Dean and Tweety wanted to go there.

there's just you issuing the usual baseless charge, or showcasing some really abysmal reading comp skills
anything to belittle Bernie, no?
George II
(67,782 posts)....Local 100 with about a quarter of the 150,000 members (actually 38,000 transit workers and 4,000 in other industries).
Did you watch his announcement? See the backdrop?
As a matter of fact, Local 100 doesn't even represent all TWU members in New York City - Local 101 represents members in Brooklyn and Queens and Local 106 represents members in the Bronx.
There are almost 100 locals in the National TWU, the national union hasn't endorsed anyone yet, and there isn't even a mention of Local 100's endorsement on the National TWU website.
So, what were you saying about "abysmal reading comp skills"?
stupidicus
(2,570 posts)between the national and those that endorsed -- the simple, very narrow, and ONLY case I made, but apparently it is too complicated for you to properly or honestly process, and despite it serving as the foundation for your garbage to begin with that it rebuts.
and of course it dovetails nicely with the headline as well
Bernie Sanders Announces New York TWU Endorsement
so you know where you can stick your little emoticon, no? You remain guilty as charged, and have merely doubled down with another example.
thanks
please proceed

(67,782 posts)....was either incomplete or misleading. That has been proven to be the case (maybe I should have said AND instead of OR?)
stupidicus
(2,570 posts)The distinction between the local and the national was made, and you've neither addressed nor rebutted that indisputable fact, ergo the tacit concession.
"....is the New York local. It has only 38,000 members, not more than 150,000 members."What I specifically addressed -- your false charge/s.
The author was under no obligation to satisfy the standards of Hillarians who'd have found absolutely nothing wrong with the veracity or depth/breadth (numbers breakdown from the national provided to local that endorsed) of the info provided had the shoe been on the other foot
Face it, your effort at nitpicking nonsense indicts nothing or nobody but you.

(24,010 posts)King of the anti-revolution? Monarch who sent the Red Coats to kill lots of rebellious colonists and execute our Founders? Mad George? Clueless George? Lost the Americas for the Empire George? Major owner/investor in the British East India Company George? Stamper of teabags George?
Or does your name mean Bush Jr.?
Cuz that's how you sound, trying to denigrate this important endorsement of the anti-Bush, anti-monarchist, pro-revolution BERNIE SANDERS.

(67,782 posts)AFSCME, AFT, NEA, SEIU, UFCW, and more. Yeah, just another editorial board, nope. Those unions and the rest represent more than 15 million members nationwide, not just 38,000.
Yep, just another "editorial board".
Funny thing, though. Usually the endorser holds a press conference and announces their endorsement. Sanders had to do his own announcement? Odd.
