(21,046 posts)Yeah, I'm old enough that I survived disco. Some of it was pretty good.

(21,046 posts)I remember. I saw the movie Saturday Night Fever and didn't hate disco. I also love to dance and have rhythm.
Funny story: In about 1979, a woman told me that her ten years younger little sister said, "Oh I really like the Bee Gees".
The woman said, "Oh yeah, I really loved them ten years ago." Younger sister is shocked that the Bee Gees were around BEFORE the disco era and had some major hits in the 60s. They were really part of the British Invasion aside from being Australian (former British colony).
We were both amused at the story, since I'd heard their earlier songs like "I Started A Joke" and "Massachusetts". And then there was little brother Andy Gibb who had a few hits too!
There's nothing like a good complex Motown/funk/disco groove!!! And I'm a person who loves classical, opera, jazz and geezer rock (60s-70s-80s)!
Back atcha!!
