Michigan Governor Rick Snyder has decided to follow in the hateful footsteps of his fellow Republican governors and has started drug testing welfare recipients. So far, there have been no positive test results, but that won’t stop Snyder and the Republicans’ war on the poor from moving forward. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this.

I have a sister in Michigan (hopefully won't be tested) that receives benefits... she is a product of sexual abuse, emotional abuse and circumstance... she is a very hard worker and deserves any benefit she gets... if given a job that she can do, would probably be a better worker than anyone else... the system has failed her and many others...

3. Wanna drug test people on public assistance? Fine! Do the same for heads of corporations

whose companies received federal grants, subsidies, bailouts and other financial benefits. Like defense contractors and oil companies and Wall Street financial marketers.

I'll bet the percentage of those clowns who flunk a drug test would be higher than the low-income people applying for public assistance.

I question if Snyder's on drugs, given the crap he's pulled as governor of Michigan.

5. I never met anyone on food stamps who was doing dope, that I knew of.

You know who does most of the doping in Wisconsin?
(No doubt in most other areas too)

Upper-middle class and rich people, mostly early 20's.

Dopers I knew of were usually too stoned half the time to remember to do any of what was required to stay on welfare.
