VAN JONES IN CLEVELAND, ON HOW WE CAN HAVE A COUNTRY -- LISTEN TO THOSE WHO DISAGREE WITH US

This interview demonstrates how Democrats build the Big Ten Party we've always claimed we are.

Dudes with CNN drag Van Jones into an on-the-street interview, later identify themselves from InfoWars -- then Van Jones changes their minds!

This Van Jones interview is an important example of how Americans can listen to those they disagree with.

Van Jones slams his interrupters and these self serving white dudes who make claims they can't back up, who dodge Jones' claims.

Jones shows the weakness in their claim that the "other" guys of Black Lives Matter promote the racial divide in this country, and not Trump people, "their" guys.

Both sides agree that they are for ending the war on drugs when it comes to police/civilian murders.

Both sides seem to talk rationally.

Van Jones schools these journalists about the two root ideas that America is about -- slavery, and the founding dream that "all men are created equal." Jones claims that the more our debate process in every generation closes the gap between our two founding ideas, the closer to our ideal America this country becomes.

Two other ideas: If we continue to use the language we have with each other without really listening, the next president won't be able to govern no matter who wins. We can't pick funerals we're gonna cry over.

Van Jones' three biggest issues:

1. front end funding for vetting for better police;

2. front end funding support for vets back home to nation build here;

3. fix our infrastructure without making infrastructure investment a partisan issue.
