Interesting. And some of the comments made by some in the crowd seem...scripted. And the weirdest thing of all were the armed guards coming out of the plane. I've never seen that even with the POTUS - is this normal?

Let’s be clear: Donald Trump is taking his reckless and dangerous denial of climate science to the heart of a crisis fueled in part by climate change.”

Much less write a check to fund the relief effort.

This is the literal definition of a photo op.

His idea of helping out is signing ball caps.

Stay the f@#k outta my hometown, Trump.

Trump – thank you for coming to Louisiana and helping to unload a truck and making your huge super huge donation to the Red Cross!!

Next stop – Miami Beach – Zika virus (the GOP has already helped so much!)

Then off to California to help fight the fires!

(holding limp right hand out to demonstrate)

I'm sure the suffering people who are contemplating what they can salvage from six inches of mud in their homes while tearing out soaked sheetrock and insulation are really happy to be used as props for his campaign. I'm sure the first responders are delighted to have to provide an escort for him instead of helping their neighbors.

16. It wasn't a donation, it was a "sacrifice."

You know, like losing a son in Iraq. He's sacrificing himself for the nation. Just like Jesus, in fact. Better than Jesus, since Jesus never signed autographs.

There's LOTSA votes for Trump. But then, we're also the POOREST district in the state with the WORST air quality - which I suspect affects folk's thinking.

I don't think he's done that for the entire election going back to the primaries.
