Republicans Hope Hurricane Matthew Will Deliver Florida To GOP

Florida Governor Rick Scott refuses to extend the deadline to register to vote, even though his state is being rocked by a massive hurricane. Could it be because the areas affected by the storm lean heavily Democratic?

Right. None of which you can take advantage of if you CAN'T REGISTER TO VOTE.

They should make every arrangement they can to register in shelters, in churches, etc, where people will be likely staying after the storm. And to make sure displaced people have a chance to vote any way they like, by mail or in the voting booth. They should advertise on television to displaced residents of Florida staying elsewhere, how they can still register, still vote.

It's easy for the republicans. They need do nothing. But we can and should do something. We don't have to just accept this!
