Bob Schieffer Objects, On-Air, To Being Used In Romney Campaign ‘Hope And Change’ Ad

VIDEO here: http://www.mediaite.com/tv/bob-schieffer-objects-on-air-to-being-used-in-romney-campaign-hope-and-change-ad/

In the middle of a commercial break during Face the Nation, a Romney campaign ad called “Hope and Change” aired, mocking President Obama‘s 2008 campaign slogans. The ad opens with Face the Nation anchor Bob Schieffer bringing up the old slogan and asking whatever happened to it in the last four years. When Schieffer returned from a commercial break, he very noticeably objected to being used in a political ad, saying he was rather surprised by it.

Schieffer made every effort to distance himself from the ad, which he admitted he “didn’t know about” at the start of the show.

“I’m running this not to give circulation to it, but just to state that obviously I have no connection with the Romney campaign. This was done without our permission. It comes as a total surprise to me.”

He is probably upset that he was not paid enough.

"That was a question that I posed to David Axelrod -- not a statement," he said. "I have no affiliation with the Romney campaign. This was done without our permission."

Did he outsource his damn campaign? Worst campaign.. ever. Schieffer needs to also demand that it be taken off the air. Do those people have any damn morals? oh never mind...

Did CBS sell the "Face the Nation" clips to the Romney Campaign, then get paid
again for running the ad, or is this a case of "fair use" by the Romney Campaign?

With MSNBC's takeover by NBCUniversal Media, LLC today, I'm a little worried, and
I have to wonder...
