Smerconish is asking this guy to prove a negative. He can't. Also, Smerconish doesn't have any proof of the hacking. We have a story in the New York Times that claims that CIA and the NSA briefed Obama that the RNC had been hacked. But, either Spicer is just flat out lying, or the government didn't contact the RNC, which seems really strange.

So, I think the jury is still out on this one. It's up to the government to actually publish something that journalists can verify. Maybe the Russians did hack the RNC and maybe this guy is a liar, but as of right now, we just don't know.

But what Smerconish was trying to pin him was the idea that the Russians hacking the DNC and Clinton campaign - with which he did not argue - and, I would add, the fake news stories should be a cause for alarm.

inarticulate, undignified, irate, and obviously disturbed people to fast-talk word-salad most of their way through every interview?

Great interview, but when Smerconish asked Spicer to show some outrage that a foreign enemy meddled in our elections, and then Spicer showed outrage, then that is when Smerconish should have said "where was the outrage from you, Trump, and other republicans during the campaign???"

Smerconish is an expert at his craft.
He is a local Pa boy and I may be a bit bias but I like his style and the fact that he stays in the middle.
I also like that he does not interrupt. To a fault he does not interrupt.

He had a local radio show when Obama was running. I listened even though he leaned right. I listened because he made sense and called out stupidity. Then he endorsed Obama. Then I was hooked.

The fact he had to scream at Spicer is very very out of character.
