It's seemed to me he was abruptly finished once Sessions said he had no contact with the Russians. As if he was thinking, Thank you, Senator, you just stepped in it, but good.

Maybe I'm overthinking it but Sen. Franken is nobody's fool.

He knew the answer, gave J. NO REGARD a chance to come clean. Did not happen, so here we are.

If Sessions disclosed the meetings in the hearing then he wouldn't be in trouble. We are having this conversation because he lied.

I don't blame him. Its a serious subject.

Many hosts try and goad him into being a comedian, and I kind of don't blame them as well as it makes good TV.

I noticed this on his appearance on Maher's show as well. He has to bite his tongue all the time. And he does a good job at it. In a selfish way I'd love to see him go off on a Colbert like evisceration of Trump and Sessions etc. but he is good enough and smart enough not to go down that road, even though it may be popular with his long time fans from SNL to Air America. You just know the GOP want to paint him as just a comedian/entertainer. And he is instead successfully coming off as an informative representative.
