Check out the stats on women in government. USA is doing a horrible job!

1 Rwanda 56.3%
2 Andorra 50%
3 Cuba 48.9%
4 Sweden 47%
5 Iceland 44%
6 Senegal 42.7%
7 Finland 42.5%
8 South Africa 42.3%
9 Seychelles 39.7%
10 Spain 39.5%

30% in Australia
28% in UK

***20% USA***

There are countries with lower percentages and some with no women in government.

That gradually faded, and by halfway through, he was looking grim.

This has been edited, but by the end of Gillard's speech, Abbott's right hand was in a tight fist. He really wanted to punch her out, which is exactly his style.

And what was particularly inspiring was that the speech was off the top of Gillard's head - she noted some quotations, but she wasn't reading. She was an excellent parliamentary debater.
