Trump to Republicans: If Your Healthcare Plan Fails, I'll Blame Democrats

1. Empty threat

First of all, Obamacare is NOT failing. That's just the Republicans trying to make it look like they have no choice but to offer some sort of replacement or "fix" for a failing program. They keep repeating it hoping that the idea catches on and Trump's little statement is just to reinforce that. The idea should be rejected out of hand as nonsense.

Obamacare enrollment keeps going up. I believe this year they would move up to 13 million which gets closer to the 20 million they seek. If enrollment continues to climb then insurance companies will not be pulling out of markets. And if they do--simple fix: public option--medicare buy-in. Problem solved.

Their "fix" is a disaster. I hope they pass nothing. Even with the problems of Obamacare we'd be better off than with their dismantling of it for wealthy tax breaks.
