(30,613 posts)If I wasn't a regular TRMS watcher, I would have lost out on some great comedy.

(49,990 posts)I loved it, and I suspect that Rachel will, too.
But I wish Stephen had worn black-rimmed glasses!

(17,304 posts)by skewering Rachel too. He and his band leader were sitting at his desk insisting that they had breaking news, and then kept cutting to commercial. They would come back on air after a second or two with "Breaking News" across the screen and they had visibly aged each time, with white beards by the end, before they finally revealed that there was really nothing of significance in Trump's two-page tax return.

(704 posts)While I like Rachel, she can be frustrating to watch sometimes. I keep thinking, "Get on with it!"
The Russian connections by themselves are fascinating and frightening. But that tax paper was really over-hyped. Save it for when there's something really big. I feel that she was used on some level.
Hopefully it will result in an increased call for more tax returns,.

(47,427 posts)I love that she covers stories that no one else is touching, but the long drawn out story lines and redundancy can be very tedious to watch. Colbert really nailed it last night and I don't think it harms her at all. It just gives her more exposure.

(4,341 posts)There were only two pages she had to work with, as a serious reporter she cannot speculate and then give republicans ammunition to call her "fake news". I think she laid out the questions for further investigation, such as "where did the money come from?", and now it is up to the appropriate agencies to start digging.
She also brought this guy (can't remember his name) who also laid out the suspicion that Donald himself might have sent the two pages, and I liked the fact that, as far as I can remember, he never called him 'president'. A few good things came out of that report, I didn't see it when Chris Hayes came in, but I will look for it.
