That's a conundrum that only REPUBLICAN politicians have to deal with.

Although, technically it's...

Kill the poor and give the rich a tax break VS. don't kill the poor and DON'T give the rich a tax break.

Seriously, that's the decision that most GOP politicians have to face these days. And generally only the MODERATE ones. The hard core ideologues are DOGMATIC about the idea that you have to trash the poor and mollycoddle the rich, and that this is best. They don't even give it a second thought.
