This new journalism of equating false equivalence is just destructive and places every argument in the same context. Sigh.

When you give a platform for Hannity and the right wing radio bomb squad to say that their "point of view" is factual and allow them to cloak themselves in ANYTHING but the disgrace they earn daily, it is a sham.

This is very easy to solve....reinstitute the fairness doctrine and END the right wing radio empire. I will wager any amount that within 90 days the tone of the communications in the mass media will be different.

Truth and facts MATTER. The obfuscation of them is what leads to the false equivalency problems and propaganda we are deluged with every minute of the day. If you traffic in half-truths, you traffic in lies and you should be called to carpet for it...EVERY TIME YOU DO IT.

and lost. That's when it all went down hill. Republicans were able to say anything that they wanted without being challenged.

to look down his nose at Hannity. Then again Ed Murrow would have good reason to look down his nose at Koppel.
