Take both of those to the bank, we'll be hearing them plenty.

7. Maybe there will be room for him in the Cabinet or in the Diplomatic Corps...

He'd be a very plainspoken ambassador, IMO.

8. Being a diplomat is probably better for a younger person. Lots of travel.

I rarely saw an Ambassador to Italy break a sweat. Their Number Two guys, though, they did the heavy lifting...

13. Well, it's still being on a schedule. He's been a slave to the clock for years. Best wishes to him.

14. Nothing would surprise me with "Bahh-ney." Hell, he could end up lobbying for NORML!

He's a smart guy, and despite losing his seat to redistricting, he's not "done" yet. He has a couple of good decades left in him, yet. I think he's a bit like Benjamin Franklin--he'll be contributing to the betterment of the nation until he takes his last breath.

We want to see Elizabeth kick Scottie's ass so hard he lands in Nantucket Sound!

Yeah, they re-drew Barney's district so it lost a key portion of "his" constituency and added a big chunk of the neighboring district. For him to run again (and he said it would have been his last time) he would have had to give up a huge piece of his very reliable voters (fishermen who adored him) and play the "getting to know you" game with a bunch of others. He thought it wouldn't be fair to the new people, to have him for only one term, so he, himself, announced that he wasn't running again to put any speculation/rumors to rest. He would have liked one more go-round, but he put the people first (as he does).

He's a good guy. I wish him only good things after he leaves the Hill.

I also just did a video over the weekend that can help our side as well. It's called "I help Mitt Romney pay his taxes":
