On some level it stops being about religion and just gets down to basic right vs wrong / moral vs immoral. Barber knows his racial and political history and is able to tie political policy to basic morality and to real world consequences in an illustrative way that's easy to understand. He cites the Christian faith and bible teachings so many CONservatives claim they believe in -- while also citing how their political policy actually results in the opposite of those teachings. IOW he calls out - regularly - their hypocrisy and their refusal to walk their talk.
I like that.
I'd not give a crap if he was Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, Atheist or whatever. When he or she is right, they're right. That's all.

We need about a million more preachers like him to come around to reality and chase all politicians out of their houses of worship! They're the same as the Bible's money-changers, LOL.
