NOT THE ONION: Trump Dedicates Golf Tourney Trophy to Hurricane Victims

there's nothing the victims of these horrible natural disasters want or need right now, than a pretend "president" dedicating a stupid trophy (solid 14K Gold, weighs 32 lbs.) to them. That will make their lives so much better at the moment. I imagine they're counting their blessings tonight because of Mr. Trump's magnanimous gesture. 
when they politicized this golf tournament. They purposely played the national anthem before the start of this tournament which, to my knowledge, has never been done before. The reason? They wanted to show that none of these golfers would "take a knee" during the playing of the national anthem. 
And why would they? All of these young men were children of privilege, brought up by well-to-do parents who could provide them with golf lessons, fly them all over the world to youth tournaments, and never once come into contact with the "real world" where everyone else exists. As far as I know they're all Republicans who want to keep their taxes nice and low, so their money will "trickle down" to the people below them. They do charity work, sign autographs etc. because they're contractually obligated to do so, then it's back to their multi-million dollar mansions in their private, gated communities.
I've played golf most of my life. I wasn't born into the country club set, but I always enjoyed the game and played whenever I could afford it. These tournaments are taking on a very distinctive "nationalistic" air of late, and it's making me pull for the European and World teams instead of our American team.
Of course Trump had to make his appearance. It's not like there were any more pressing issues in our country right now. Golf used to be an American game, where everyone could afford a set of clubs and a place to play. Not so anymore. The smaller golf courses can't afford to stay in business any more, and these huge conglomerate courses that cost half a million a year to JOIN are the norm. And are they ever Republican bastions of excess, and they're exceedingly proud of it.
No, there weren't any players "taking a knee", and the Republicans wanted to showcase that. Golf is waning in popularity, and it's no mystery why. They're turning it back into a rich man's game, which is what the GOP wants to turn the entire country into once again. Two classes. Those who are members, and those who serve the members. FORE!
