(I watched Colbert so I missed Kimmel.) Kimmel probably never wanted or expected this role, but he seems to have become the voice of reason and conscience of late night TV. I hope he helps motivate many people to act.

Jimmy said he was not good at this type of thing, probably because he was obviously emotionally overwhelmed talking about yet another mass shooting. I strongly disagree! We have been emotionally numbed by all these shootings, and we NEED to feel again! Jimmy is reminding us how to feel. It may not be pleasant, but it is real, and necessary, if we are ever to change things. Thank you Jimmy. You are helping us all remember how we should be reacting to these shootings. The country has been dumb-ed down. We cannot let ourselves be numbed down.
