Cirque du Soleil's Billionaire Laliberté wasn't 'entirely' self-made...

Of course he worked hard and so did everybody involved with him, but without a subsidized program from the GOVERNMENT "to BEGIN with", he wouldn't have had enough dough to even make it to Los Angeles in the first place...

And of course, not a peep about that in ABC's 20/20 interview:

20/20 Barbara Walters Billionaire Secrets Cirque Du Soleil: Guy Laliberté

Without the huge financial risks the Québec (SOCIALIST) government's bureaucrats granted them ... Game over.

Well, only once or twice on TV ('Alegria' or 'Saltimbanco' on DVD, can't recall which one).

Tickets to their live shows here are way beyond what I can afford (for now, and for as long as a decade or two...).

I happened to switch channels during commercials in London 2012's broadcast last night and landed at the beginning of that 20/20 report totally by accident!

I hoped to hear him say without Québec's taxpayers help through government programs, he wouldn't have had enough dough to travel his group to LA in 1987 to begin with.

So, in a sense, he "didn't build that" all on his own. I am not faulting him for not saying: maybe he did and it was edited out? (I wish.)
