Been around a few when I fished for a living, amazing critters, copper based blood instead of iron, their eyes work on a different principle than rods and cones like everything else's.

Something else up close, utterly alien.

I read. Soul of an Octopus? Anyway....fascinating. Been a veg for 25 years, but couldn't imagine killing and eating one. Very rich emotional life, and an intelligence that is foreign to us.
