(793 posts)Do it then get off the pot!
It really don't make too much difference who you pick.
You folks are history, anyhow.
There is no way, even with all the BS you are putting out and being a true victim which you try and get all of us to believe, that Americans hate Mr Obama for his skin color more than your existence.

(135,425 posts)The reality is, Mitt does not want a VP who will "outshine" him.
The guy cannot be smarter, more charismatic, more "fun," more interesting, more exciting, and probably, as a consequence, will not be any more "electable."
He wants (with apologies to that poor, tortured Rafalca) a work horse, a (with apologies to the late, tortured Seamus) dogsbody, someone to do the heavy lifting and deflect all the praise to His Hairness.
That sort of person doesn't help move the numbers, though.

(12,041 posts)The fact is that the more people see of Mitt Romney the more they dislike him, his only hope is to choose a VP candidate who steals the spotlight away from him. Because Romney can not get people to vote for him he will have to hope that they will vote for his VP candidate. That is why I say that he might choose someone like Chuck Norris, a guy who has absolutely no qualifications but could be very effective in winning the idiot vote. Most candidates want a VP candidate who will not steal the spotlight from them, but in Mitt Romney's case he may need a candidate that steals the spotlight from him because it seems every time the spotlight is on him he bombs big time. Chuck Norris would give Palin a run for her money as worst VP choice ever, but there is no denying the media would go crazy and give the Romney campaign much more positive press coverage despite the stupidity of the choice.

Perhaps Robin. Although I like the idea of Sancho Panza.

(182,788 posts)is just the right amount of boring to both not outshine Mitt and for their campaign to try desperately to turn the election back around to being about President Obama. Portman, however, carries a bitter pill with him - he was in the .....wait for it ... BUSH ADMINISTRATION. You would think that they would keep that four letter word as far away as possible but then clearly all of their actual candidates are waiting for 2016 anyway.
