And that's why I started posting the late night comedians. After a day of unrelenting awful news, it sure helps to hear a comedic take on it - and Stephen Colbert absolutely keeps up!

Maybe the one positive thing about the Trump presidency is the emergence of Colbert as a moral voice after Jon Stewart exited. no offense to Trevor Noah, but there is an honesty and candor that is so refreshing with Colbert.

He had a monologue all ready to go, but then there was breaking news and he and his writers were up to the last minute changes. I started posting these awhile back because I sure needed some humor in my life these days and I figured everyone else here did, too. Welcome to DU, Buttershrimp! It's great to have you with us!
