Justice isn't blind, but operates on a sliding scale depending on who you are.

(7,976 posts)Debbie Downer, Pessimist, Part of the Problem (because I don't subscribe to the belief that Mr. Mueller has God-like power to bring justice). I will simply not let DJT rule my emotional life anymore-I am way past numb.

(9,696 posts)and for me to basically stop talking. Other people no longer want to talk politics. or say "just wait till those midterms" like all we have to do is wait and everthing will be magically better.
Ostrichs got nothing on them. Thank you Bill, I can always count on you for some raw truth telling.

(1,068 posts)We need more people like us around that can carry the weight of supporting Democrats in Washington. From the President to the House of Representatives to the Senate. This is not easy but it sure as hell is the right thing to do.

(37,648 posts)And true. It really brings it home, the situation we're in.
But I will go vote, anyway, and encourage and remind others to get registered and vote.
I don't have any system or level of experience to consider moving out of the country. And I can't get Medicare, if I do.

(51,649 posts)to stop thinking that he is probably correct. My sister told me this two weeks ago and I rain, "No way" but I didn't say it with the same conviction that I did a month ago. Now Bill says the same thing. Shit! Last Summer he made a gentleman's bet that the moron would be out of office by Dec. Bill has done a 180 and now can see that the GOP in Congress is the real problem. No one expected them to support the moron and put party over country. If we win the House we could get some real investigations going. VOTE!

(51,649 posts)I also showed my 1st graders how people vote at the multi purpose room each election day and we voted all year long for everything (always anonymous, with privacy boards, tabulated by them and on their issues...like which game to play during rainy day recess). It was Civics for 6 year olds and they loved it. Getting "I Voted" stickers in 4 languages was another big hit with them. And I have voted Dem straight tickets each time too.

(37,648 posts)(personal finances, too) I graduated knowing little about the real world. Income taxes, budgeting, different pay for different jobs, what things cost, how to register, how to vote...nothing! Unfortunately for me, I had a mom who didn't know anything about those things, either. (no dad)
Thank goodness I had an interest in politics at an early age, and register & vote early on.
