(2,715 posts)2. I remember
my parents waking me up to see the moon landing.
To me, that was the entirety of the 60's.

What a memory! I was at my parents' home outside Denver, visiting with my 10-month-old daughter, and I sat up in the middle of the night, watching this incredible and historic event. Wow. Just wow. Also remember the sense of relief when the Eagle left the moon and headed back to Earth. There were some who wondered if that would actually happen. What an amazing accomplishment for the US and the world!
