I thought the racism was coming from Nazis and Germans. Seems the Scottish have a lot to apologize for when it comes to racism. No wonder most Scottish men I know are such sexists. Racism and hatred of women go hand and hand.

(like mine), and the slave trade itself was veddy English. Plenty of ugly to go around for everyone. As Twain pointed out, these people's attachment to Scotland was largely make-believe. And believing what makes them feel good instead of what's factual is another trait that is still an essential part of the racist mindset.
