They are about 50 percent on average for two years, since there are a limit if you were well paid. This is for the ones who has been paying to the semi private unemployment insurance, but then the government gives support on top of this. Out side this system, benefits are lower, but livable.

And no, we do not all live in empty spaces on the top of new glass houses. Most people lives in more ordinary houses filled with stuff - but all the rest is true!

One of the great crimes Republicans as a party have committed against the American people, is convincing most of them (half of them, anyway) that uncivilized public policy is best.

People still equate communism with socialism. The older US voters remember Better Red Than Dead. The strange thing is is that this group mostly voted for tRump so you would think that they would be angry with their dear leader being pals with Putin.

Socialism would likely make things better for most of the US citizens but we have been brainwashed and don't vote in our best interests. People in Nordic countries have a great quality of life and are happy being "content". They even have a word for it. They do not want more, more, more like greedy people. They want to be comfortable and satisfied...sounds pretty good to me.

What big business has spent 70 years convincing the public of, is to adopt socialism for them - but feudalism for us.
