Or Dubya.

Remember when his minions were going aroung trying to convince Hispanic voters that he was "fluent" in Spanish?

Sinvergüenza (shameless).

Reminds me of my late sister--it was her favorite song. Brought memories of her younger days in Los Angeles back in the 1950s. Hard for me to connect it with the dTrumphs, but I enjoyed the video. Thanks for posting.

7. One of My Favorite Songs to Play on the Pan Flute!

I like to play Russian music on my Pan Flute - in fact, I used to play with a Russian accordionist in the metro in San Francisco when I was a professional Pan Flutist with an Andean band down on the wharf. Alex taught me a whole bunch of Russian tunes. But as much as I love Russian music, I would never think of betraying my country for it...

When I saw the lady's face on the DU homepage, I thought it might be "I Never Promised You a Rose Garden" - don't know, that song just came to my mind. Jailhouse Rock also would've been good, but the King's mug was not up there, so I knew it couldn't be that.

Listening to Mary Hopkin's rendition of it again after so many years, my impression was that the tempo dragged quite a bit, especially for the chorus - it should be more lively and spirited. Maybe that's why she was just a "one hit wonder".
