2. 45 years later and we are no better

We had 8 years of Clinton investigations that cost $100 million and produced no indictments against either of them, and no other indictments against anyone else who wouldn't have been indicted by other means anyway. Yet in far shorter of a time there's been numerous indictments of Trump's inner circle that wouldn't have happened otherwise, and the Trump sycophants call it a "witch hunt".

We are most certainly doomed by the history we don't learn from.
