It's so disgusting, but it's also one of the fastest ways to get around. Except at rush-hour, you might have to wait for 2 or 3 trains to go by to find one that isn't too crowded for you to push on to. The T in Boston is a lot more civilized. Today I read a cute story about how a baby squirrel found its way onto the Red Line and passengers helped it, wrapping it in a scarf and then releasing it once they got to an above ground station. They even had pictures. It was so cute!

Anyway, very funny segment. Thanks for posting, Rhiannon!

I just got back from giving my brother a ride to the doctor and told him I brake for squirrels - and bunnies and skunks and deer.

I think I only took the subway a couple of times. When we had camp reunions we stayed with a girl who lived in NYC - Park Ave, if I remember! - and she would shepherd the group and keep counting noses.

And once we visited the Statue of Liberty when I was a kid with my uncle's family in New Jersey, and I remember my Dad trying to hold the doors open so the slower kids didn't get left! I can't imagine dealing with that on a daily basis - but then we have the problem of little public transportation here Upstate!
