7. And at least Stillson (or Martin Sheen) is nice to look at, versus the Orange Blimp.

We're overloaded with visions of The Donald 24/7. He becomes more and more repulsive to all but the MAGAts. And WHERE is his CHARM? His followers seem to be a strange amalgam of former schoolyard bullies and some of their victims, who, inexplicably, wanted to become like them. Ironically Sheen later became Jeb Bartlet. With all his television obsession, Trump has obviously never watched "The West Wing" except to jeer. Perhaps he could be reprogrammed with enough flattery? Sadly not, I'm afraid

Basically, he said if you let the crew vote for who will captain the ship (of state), they may pick somebody completely, stupidly unqualified, someone who knows nothing about navigation or sailing (or the Constitution), just because he's popular with the dumbest of the crew. It doesn't have to happen, but it CAN happen.

(and they always are. not even Eisenhower knew everything needed to lead the country.)

they are usually bright enough to attract subject matter experts to lead departments and to advise the president.

kennedy appointed "the best and brightest."

trump appoints people who are as loony as he is.

8. Kennedy had the intellectual security to admit he didn't know everything, and to listen to advice.

Trump insists he knows more than the generals, more than the economists, more than anybody, yet he's so insecure about his intellect that he can never admit he doesn't know something or got something wrong. He tried to defend himself when he called Tim Cook of Apple, "Tim Apple." Any reasonable person would have laughed at themselves over an unimportant slip of the tongue like that. Of course, Trump has no sense of humor.
