4. I've been boycotting Jimmy John's since they started requiring non-competes.

From SANDWICH MAKERS.

Making new hires sign agreements that if they quit or get fired, they won't work in another sandwich shop for a year or some dumb shit like that.

It's a form of employee intimidation and control, nothing more.

Any outfit that will sink to that, I'm never surprised to find out what other assholery they're up to.

9. Non-competes for low wage workers is absolutely deplorable

since that blocks them out of way too many jobs. There are many restaurants that sell sandwiches. Cities will have a lot within 2 miles of a jimmy johns and being blocked out for 2 years is a crippling financial hit.
